ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Eliana, a book blogger/bookstagrammer/whatever you want to call a person who loves shouting about books online (and in person, occasionally). I was born in America, but I've lived in Italy with my family serving God as a missionary since I was seven. I started my bookstagram in September 2021, and fell in love with the bookish community, hence starting my own blog.
I worked my way through the Italian public school system until last year, when I switched to The Potter's School, an online homeschool program. I'm currently in my fourth year of high school, and hope to study English in college to work in publishing and/or book marketing.
Along with reading (duh), I also enjoy baking, Taylor Swift, musical theatre, academic writing (especially detailed rants about various media), quoting The Princess Bride at every opportunity, and all. The. Plants. My room is definitely not a jungle. And I definitely do not name all my plants after fictional characters or authors. Nope.
My favorite book genres are fantasy, romance, mystery, and the occasional dystopian. Whenever people ask the dreaded question - "What's your favorite book?" - I usually answer Percy Jackson (specifically, The Mark of Athena). I binged the whole series (both PJO and HoO) in a week or two at the beginning of the pandemic, and love it so much I consider it a personality trait. Some of my other favorite books are The Darkest Minds, Sorcery of Thorns, These Violent Delights, Tweet Cute, Six of Crows, and Once Upon A Broken Heart. For more recs check out my book recommendations master list, which has every book I've read and rated 4 stars or higher (categorized and color-coded by genre and main trope).
From A Bookworm's Life Blog you can expect lots of book reviews, specific recommendations, and adaptation vs. book evaluations. I do accept ARCs, but there are criteria (see my review policy). Finally, follow me on social media for video content, live reactions to my current read, and lots of bookish fun! Also, please don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in a collab/partnership, or if you just want to chat about books! I always love hearing from other bookworms.
